Barclays – Risk Management

Barclays needed help reinforcing super-diligence in 90,000 employees worldwide who deal with the privileged customer information they handle every day.
What we did was simply to make them laugh and make them think. Based around a behind the scenes making of a Security Risk Management Film, we created a genre-skipping film comedy-drama from ‘chick flick’via spy thriller to French avant garde. An award winning parody and a script that hits all the information points without sacrificing the integrity of a great idea. Delivered on DVD, intranet, multi-language versions, posters, postcards, e-mail, & with a film premiere to launch it all.
Along the way the film has had massive success at the SC Awards 2009, ISE 2008 Awards, The Real IT Awards and been highly commended by the IVCA.

Funny *and* informative? I thought it couldn’t be done when teaching data protection (not well at least)! Well done!

Good ‘Office’ take off, but mentions 5 key bullet points, what are they. I think more about real life loss of data and Sh*t – which is what we should all think about in work and personal life.
Think this will stick in the memory as funny but not getting across the real message – sorry.

Hi Keith,
Thanks for your thoughts. The film itself was designed to raise awareness rather than as standalone training piece. There were 5 individual films that stemmed from the main one that went into more detail and the supporting materials from the posters to the intranet site were designed to carry more of the heavy messaging.
Regards
Ross

The film doesn’t appear to be brand-specific, will this create licensing opportunities?

Hi Allison,
Barclays policy is unfortunately not to license the films for other companies. There’s been quite a bit of interest though in the films and we have been able to help several companies with some alternative solutions. We’d be happy to talk through some other options with you if you’d like.
Thanks
Ross
