TfL – The Knowledge
The rules of the famous London Hackney Carriage Driver exam, The Knowledge, were changing and Transport for London asked us to look at creating a new joining pack to aid existing and prospective students.
We created an interactive DVD featuring 4x 10 minute presenter led documentaries about the world renowned ` Knowledge’, the process involved in becoming a London Hackney Carriage Driver and cribsheets.
Following both practicing Knowledge students and recent graduates we explored exactly what was involved in tackling the Knowledge and what systems were in place to help them. The films were filmed over the course of five days involving multiple locations and well over 25 interviews across London.
After an intial 1000 copies, the packs were rolled out to cover the whole Knowledge community across Greater London.
